Jenny DellaPeruta-Miller - Has been teaching for over 15+ years.  She majored in dance at Columbia College in Chicago.  Jennifer has coached the Illinois State Fair Dance Team & Lakeland Cheerleading.  Her specialties are Hip-Hop and Jazz.

 

Jen Haley - Has been dancing since she was three years old.  Jen began dancing in Lake Villa where she eventually had Ms. Kathy as a teacher.  Dancing her way through grade school and junior high, Jen found herself on the stage of Carmel High dancing for Street Scenes.  Her college years brought new adventures that included The Dayton Ballet Company, The Dayton Dance Ensemble, and a Bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education.  All of these wonderful dance experiences have encouraged Jen to teach dance at American Stars.  After several years with the studio, she is motivated by her students growth, determination and mutual love of dance.

 

Becky DeRosa - Has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching for the past 10+ years.  After seeing how dance and movement can make an impact on peoples lives, Becky went on to become a dance/movement therapist, a certified movement analyst, and a certified yoga teacher .  She loves teaching at American Stars of Dance where she gets to be with teachers she has known since she was young and students that are always enthusiastic and live to dance.

 

Jaime Clesceri - Jaime took her very first dance class when she was nine years old.  Miss Kathy was her teacher and it was in the Lake Villa studio.  She instantly fell in love with dancing and hasn't stopped since.  During her grade school and high school years, Jaime competed dance nationally in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro and Poms.  Jamie was also a gymnast for 10 years and trained at the Gymnastics Spot.  She was a member on both the 1992 & 1993 State High School gymnastics teams at Carmel High School.  At Carmel, Jaime danced in the Street Scenes performances along side with Becky DeRosa and Jen Haley.  Jaime graduated college from University of Illinois - Champaign with a degree in Finance and just recently graduated from North Park University with an MBA.  Jaime is thrilled to be back teaching dance after a 10 year absence.  Jaime says that best part of teaching is sharing her passion for dance with her students.

 

Holly Weber - Holly began her dance training studying with Gus Giordano in Evanston. She went on the University of Illinois where she received a B.F.A. in Dance with a specialization in Technical Theater. She then went on to work for the Candlelight Theater in Summit, Illinois and also taught dance for the Morton Grove, Niles and Skokie Park Districts. Currently she has been teaching preschool at the Vernon Hills Park District for the last 20+ years, and dance there for the last 5+ years.

 

Kathy Fleischman

 

Robin Nassar - Robin started dancing at the age of threeat the Harris Dance Studio in Nevada.  She completed her ballet training at the San Francisco Ballet Academy.  She has also studied Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap.  In 2000 she established the Ramallah School of Ballet and Jazz in Palestine, then in 2006 she opened the Elite Dance Center in Amman, Jordan.  Her schools have won honors at the Italian Dance Grand Prix and the Hella's International Dance Competition in Athens, Greece.  Her dancers have gone on to the Rock School of Ballet, the Philadelphia Ballet, and the Royal Ballet in Canada.  Two of her past students now run their own dance schools. Robin also studied acting and has performed in various commercials and movies, including Nine Months and Jade.  She was also a model in San Francisco and holds a degree in Communications.

 

Frank & Jackie - Frank & Jackie Penze have been teaching Ballroom, Salsa, Latin and Swing dancing for over 20 years, formed the Greater Fox Valley Chapter, of U.S.A. Dance, and have been publishing/distributing the Dance! Newsletter for 20 years to over 600 subscribers.
